This route is a nice circular 5km which is well trodden by many in the beautiful woodlands around Nymans Gardens and house.
Utilising the National Trust car park at Nymans Gardens and House this is a lovely route around the woods and lake. Following primarily the Millennium walk which is sign posted by an orange marker, the paths are well maintained though can be a little technical in places given the steep climbs up stairs which can be tricky with a pulling pooch on a line. There is easy access to water as there are a number of streams and a significant section along the edge of the lake.
There are also plenty of paths which are open to being explored though it is worth noting that there are a number of restrictions around the Arboretum where dogs are not allowed though these should be well sign posted. Also the Car Park is locked so do check the opening hours and ensure you have adequate time explore as being locked in is never fun!
Having completed your run you could even stop and have a coffee or take in the House and ruins to support the Nation Trust.
