This route utilises the downs link trail as well as the country trails and paths leading away from the main trail.
Starting out from Slinfold leading out to Barns green via Christs hospital where there is a small road section . During winter months this route can become slightly flooded in places, and though seldom it is also possible for the river Arun to break its banks so caution recommended. When the weather is more clement water can be scarce though there are a number of spots when a hound can swim and grab a drink taking you own supply is recommended.
