This compact 5.5km trail route starts right on part of the Serpent trail and once to the top of the hill offers fantastic views towards the North Downs.
The Parking location can be a little tricky to find but once located offers the possibility of exploring Flexham Park, the route itself winds its way around the hill though large areas of chestnut coppice along a varied mix of paths on clay and sand. Some of the areas can get a bit boggy during the winter months and a few shallow streams must be traversed so wet paws and possibly feet is inevitable.
Though there are a number of streams these can dry up during the summer months so water should be a consideration depending on temperature. As the areas is quite compact so there is ample scope for exploration without to much fear of getting lost.
