Suggested by Catherine H, This route is a 10km trail starting out at Lancing Ring nature reserve.
This area has many paths which can easily be explored for shorter or if your pooch and your legs are keen some very long runs.
Starting out from the car park this route takes you up over Steep Down to Bostal Road where it swings south-west towards Cissbury Ring and then back up the other side of Steep Down which is a sharp shock for tired legs. There are a number of animal troughs and dew ponds on the downs for thirsty dogs and caution should be taken of sheep and large live stock. This is an ideal starting place for anyone who wants a very long, hilly run and can easily take in Chanctonbury and Cissbury Ring with fantastic view into the Weald and out to sea over Shorham, Worthing and Littlehampton.
